pat condell on freedom
my comment: could be that most atheists in the west are more anti-christians than actual atheists because they feel persecuted by chrstianity and are former christians. choosing atheism as a reaction of opposition to the christian pressure is not really choosing atheism, in fact, it might be that most atheists in the west are anostic about gods in general, just adamant about not believing in the christian god. i do think radical islam is more dangerous than radical christianity these days, but not by much.

my comment: good point and perhaps pat's response was taking down those links... i think he makes good points, but i also think he lets fear get the better of him from time to time, especially in his anti-islam rants and like so many, might be willing to sacrifice some freedoms, at least in theory, for security... that is always a delicate balance... we do face a very dangerous world and there are people who would destroy others based on ideology and we must try to prevent that, but how is the question...

my comment: this video makes no sense as a response to the video it is stated to be a response to - it appears to simply be a religious sermon presented on the false premise that it was somehow a response to a video to which it does not even relate... unfortunately, this is too typical of what humans do with religion, very much like what used car salesmen do with used cars... get the mark in the door any way you can, then sell them what you want to sell them...
propaganda or balanced news?
what leads to questions about how balanced reports like this video truly are is the fact that it was an Israeli who killed the Israeli prime minister, not the supposed enemy. there are radicals on both sides. it appears that the Israeli faction that wants war killed the Israeli leader and there are still radicals on both sides that want war, those are the only undeniable facts in this video. the threat comes from both sides. it brings up the question - balanced reporting or war propaganda?
atheists are bad, m'ok?... or are they?
